FORT MYERS, Fla.- After playing 116 games the past two seasons for the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers, sophomore Kmari Williams will be headed across town to play at Florida Gulf Coast University next season after signing with the Eagles for her junior campaign.

Williams was a mainstay in the Bucs lineup the past two seasons, suiting up in 116 career games for the Purple and Aqua.  As a sophomore this season, she hit .362 with 20 stolen bases to earn 2nd Team All-Citrus Conference honors.  She had 10 multi-hit games on the year including two at the NJCAA World Series against Crowder and Chipola.

Williams will make the move to FGCU to join an Eagles squad coming off of a 29-30 campaign.  With FGCU she will reunite with 2024 FSW teammate Sietske Drijvers who returns to Fort Myers after playing her Junior year at Mercer University.

Williams is one of six Bucs to sign at the Division I level and one of seven overall to sign to move on, joining Skylar Brennan (Illinois), Emilly Allegood (Campbell), Virginia Mambelli (South Alabama), Nicole Edmiaston (Stetson), Leah Meyer (Abilene Christian), and Faith Wharton (Eckerd).
