TOKYO, Japan- Following an outstanding showing in her first Olympic Games for Team Italy, incoming Florida SouthWestern State freshman Laura Vigna has been named to the Tokyo 2020 All-Olympic Softball Team.

Vigna was Italy's top offensive player in the tournament, recording hits in each of the team's final three games against Japan, Mexico, and Canada while reaching base at a clip of .357 during her stay in Tokyo.  Also outstanding in the outfield for Team Italy, Vigna was perfect in nine defensive chances during the games including making the play of the tournament for the Italians when she went over the fence to rob a home run in left field against Japan.

Vigna will join the Bucs for the 2022 season and will try to help FSW defend their NJCAA National Championship from this season.
