FSW Closes 2019 Ranked #2

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Despite a tough ending to their season on Monday in the NJCAA District H Championship game, the NJCAA pollsters rewarded the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers for their body of work on the year on Tuesday, giving the Bucs a #2 ranking to close the 2019 campaign.

FSW finished the season 54-3 with 14 wins over ranked opponents.  The Suncoast Conference Champions went 14-2 against the NJCAA's top 20 this season and 9-2 against the top 10 ranked teams in the country.  Two of their three losses came to top 5 ranked teams at the FCSAA State Tournament, and two of their three losses came by one run in extra innings.

Seminole State jumps the Bucs to the #1 spot for the final week of the regular season while Central Florida, Chipola, and Tyler round out the top five. Indian Hills and Wabash Valley jump back into the back end of the top 20 while Seminole State and State College of Florida drop out for the final week.
