    In what seemed to be the story of their season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers suffered another last second defeat Wednesday night in the opening round of the FCSAA State Tournament in Niceville, watching as #9 Northwest Florida State was fouled and made a free throw with 2.7 seconds remaining to come away with a 66-65 win to end the Buccaneers 2024 season.

  • Bucs Suffer Heartbreaking Loss In Regular Season Finale

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers led the #8 Daytona State Falcons for 37:56 of their Citrus Conference tilt Monday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.  The Falcons didn't lead for a single second of game action.  However, in one of the oddest quirks you will see on a stat sheet, the Falcons, who erased a 17 point FSW lead over the final 10 minutes of the contest, got a game winning basket with less than 0.1 on the clock to stun the Bucs and claim their share of the inaugural Citrus Conference Championship. 
  • Pioneers Upset Bucs In Final Road Game of 2024

    For the second straight game, the #24  Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers struggled in the second half Saturday afternoon on the road at Indian River, unfortunately for the Bucs, they didn't have the same 24 point lead at the break they did the last time out and it cost them as Indian River pulled off a 79-76 upset to make the Bucs road to a Citrus Conference Championship much more difficult with one game left to go in the regular season.

    Despite dressing just eight players for their Citrus Conference contest Saturday afternoon against Polk State, the #25 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers shot 53% from the field and 48% from the three point line, flying past the Eagles 88-72 for their 20th straight win in the series against Polk.

    In a matchup that lived up to it's billing between two of the hottest teams in the country, the #4 Daytona State Falcons outlasted the #20 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers 109-106 in overtime Saturday afternoon in Daytona. FSW suffered the defeat despite shooting 57% from the field and 65% from the three point line while spoiling a 38 point, 13 rebound performance from sophomore Dezdrick Lindsay.
