Paez enters his eighth season on the Bucs bench in 2023-2024. In his seven seasons with FSW, the Bucs gone 177-35 including three straight undefeated Suncoast Conference Championships from 2018-2020 and have seen 40 graduates move on to the Division I level.

A retired professional basketball player, Paez spent multiple seasons abroad playing in Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, Hungary, Austria, and Spain. Prior to international play, Paez played Division I basketball at Stephen F. Austin State University graduating with a Bachelors in Kinesiology & Exercise Science with a concentration in Nutrition. No stranger to Juco basketball, Paez also captured championships along with All-American accolades as a player with Central Florida Community College.

A Southwest Florida local, Paez started under the mentorship of former Head Coach Marty Richter and current Head Coach Eric Murphy, joining them in building FSW basketball from scratch into a national powerhouse.
