Stitt Signs With Hornets

FORT MYERS, Fla.- After helping the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to 42 wins over the past two seasons, sophomore Cameron Stitt has signed his National Letter of Intent to play at Delaware State University next in 2022-2023.

Stitt was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection for the Bucs this season, averaging 4.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while shooting 47% from the field and 41% from the three point line.  The 6'8 forward scored in double figures five times on the year including a career high 16 point performance on 5-6 shooting from the field and 3-3 from distance in a win over St. Petersburg.

Delaware State will look for Stitt to make an immediate impact as the Hornets went just 2-25 overall and were 0-14 in MEAC play this season, falling in the first round of the Conference Tournament to the eventual champs, Norfolk State.

Stitt is one of six Bucs to sign at the Division I level this season joining Bryant Selebangue (Tulsa), Jonathan Dos Anjos (UTEP), Justin Archer (Radford), Kaiyem Cleary (Ball State), and Rhyjon Blackwell (McNeese State). In the past three seasons, all 18 FSW sophomores have signed at the NCAA Division I level.
