FSW Remains #1 in National Rankings

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Reeling off two more wins last week, the Florida SouthWestern State Men's Basketball team remained the top ranked team in the country in the NJCAA's Week 10 release on Monday.

The Bucs' 26 wins are more than any other team in the country after week 10.  They sit at 26-1 overall while riding a program record 19 game win streak.  Last week the Bucs took care of Polk State 81-75 in a come from behind effort and Saturday they ran away with an 84-68 decision against St. Petersburg to clinch their third straight Suncoast Conference crown.

FSW got 12 of 16 first place votes in the week 10 poll to keep their #1 ranking while Pearl River and Ranger each got two to fall in line behind at #2 and #3 respectively.  Indian Hills moved up a spot to #4 while Mineral Area dropped two spots, but remained in the top five at #5.  Three other FCSAA squads were in this week's poll including Tallahassee at #10, Gulf Coast St. at #19, and Central Florida at #22.

The Bucs are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Hillsborough to take on the Hawks for the third time this season.  That game will tip at 7:30 PM.
