Lucky #7 in Week Five Poll For Bucs

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Despite earning two wins over the past week, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers dropped one spot to #7 in the latest NJCAA Top 25 poll as released by the organization on Monday.

FSW sits at 10-1 after week five, earning a pair of victories over ASA Miami during Thanksgiving week.  The Bucs have taken care of business in relatively easy fashion as well, outscoring their opponents by an average of 23.5 points per game on the year.  Their only loss of the season came in overtime to Snow.

The top four teams in the poll remain the same for the second straight week with Ranger leading the way and Hutchinson, Vincennes, and Pearl River following in behind.  Otero moves into the top five at #5 while South Plains tumbles all the way from #5 to out of the poll this week.  FSW is one of four top 20 teams from Florida this week with Gulf Coast State jumping them to #6, Tallahassee three spots behind at #10, and Chipola at #15.

The Bucs are back in action on Friday when they host Combine Academy in a 7 PM tip at Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
