FORT MYERS, Fla.- Berrick JeanLouis had a career high 25 for #6 Florida SouthWestern State and the Buccaneers had a season high 11 blocked shots as FSW blew past visiting ASA Miami 91-60 Sunday afternoon in Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers to improve to 10-1 on the year.

Much like the first time the two teams met, the pace was slow and grinding early on as FSW actually found themselves in an 8-7 hole six minutes in.  The Bucs tied things up at 10 and then went on an 11-0 run to open up a 21-10 lead at the midway point of the first half.  It was all FSW from there.  JeanLouis threw down a monsterous slam over an ASA Miami defender with 3:39 remaining in the half and completed the three point play after being fouled to give the Bucs a 33-13 lead.  The Silver Storm broke a nearly 6:30 field goal drought with a bucket at the 2:55 mark, but the damage was already done as the Bucs cruised into the half leading 41-22.

FSW couldn't carry their momentum into the second half however as ASA came out and scored eight of the first ten points of the period to slice the Bucs lead back down to 13 at 43-30.  A timeout woke the Bucs back up and they scored the next 10 straight in just 1:49 including four points each from Mohamed Sylla and Jermaine Marshall to take their largest lead to that point in the game at 53-30.  Three straight threes from the Bucs later in the half blew the game wide open as they took an 84-51 lead and they put it on ice from there, finishing off the Silver Storm 91-60 to earn their 10th win of the 2019-2020 campaign.

JeanLouis led all scorers with a career high 25 for FSW.  He was one of five Bucs in double figures in the victory, joining Keon Ellis (14), Marshall (12), Jalen Finch (12), and Simeon Kirkland (10).  Ellis also shined on the defensive end, registering 5 blocked shots and 3 steals for the Bucs who held ASA to under 30% shooting in the game while forcing 22 turnovers.

FSW moves to 10-1 with the win while ASA drops to 3-7.

The Bucs will take the floor again at home on Friday when they host Combine Academy in a 7 PM from Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
