Bucs' Tyler Morman Signs with Wyoming

FORT MYERS, FLA.- Thursday in the Hospitality Suite at Suncoast Credit Union Arena, Florida SouthWestern State big man Tyler Morman signed on the dotted line, making his commitment to the University of Wyoming official.

Morman helped the Bucs to a 60-6 record over the past two seasons that included a pair of Suncoast Conference Championships and two trips to the NJCAA National Tournament where they collected 5th place finishes.

Morman was a Second Team All-Conference selection this season for the Bucs, playing in all 33 and starting 11 game, averaging 4.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting 56% from the field.  He turned in his best performance of the year late in the season, dialing up an 11 point, 10 rebound double-double in just 13 minutes of work against Hillsborough.

Wyoming had a down season in 2018-19, but won 20 games in each of the two previous seasons under Coach Allen Edwards, including a CBI Championship in 2018.  The Cowboys made a trip to Fort Myers and Suncoast Credit Union Arena last fall, finishing third in the Fort Myers Tip-Off.  The Pokes will have an experienced squad returning next season as they lose just two seniors to graduation this May.

"I felt very comfortable with the coaches and the supportive environment at the University of Wyoming were a big draw for me" Morman said of his commitment to the Pokes.
