FSW Remains #1 in NJCAA Poll

FSW Remains #1 in NJCAA Poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- For the fourth straight week the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were ranked #1 in the NJCAA Top 25 poll released on Wednesday by the National Office.

With one regular season game remaining, the Bucs sit at 27-1 on the year.  Last week they put it on Hillsborough 107-66 in their only game before dispatching State College of Florida by 32 on the road last night, a game that was not figured into this week's rankings.

The only thing that changed from the week 10 poll was the Bucs momentum in the poll as they continue to gobble up first place votes, this week capturing 15 of the 16 top votes from around the country.  Vincennes continues to sit at #2 with Coffeyville at #3 while Ranger and Sheridan move up one spot this week to round out the top five.  Chipola was this week's biggest riser as they moved up from #16 to #11 while Olney Central had the furthest fall down, from #14 to #22.

There continues to be a heavy Sunshine State flavor to the poll with the Bucs at #1, Northwest Florida State at #6, Chipola at #11, Daytona State jumped to #18, and Eastern Florida State at #21.

The Bucs will be back in action to close the regular season on Saturday when they host Polk State at 2 PM.  There will be lots of activities going on Saturday on Sophomore Day including a celebration of FSW's seven sophomores pregame and a postgame meet and greet for fans on the floor.
