Billy Henley enters his first year as assistant coach for the Bucs in 2022. 

The Miami native comes to FSW after a two year stint at Francis Marion. 

Henley possesses experience from both the collegiate and high school ranks as well as travel and collegiate summer baseball.

He served as a volunteer assistant at Georgia State University during the 2019 season, handling the catchers and coaching first base.

Previously, he spent two seasons at King's Ridge Christian School in the Atlanta suburbs, serving as associate head coach in 2017 and as the interim head coach/program coordinator in 2018. He was an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator at Oglethorpe University during the 2015 and 2016 campaigns, and spent three years (2011-14) as a varsity assistant coach at South Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia. 

Henley worked with Team Elite Baseball as a coach and roving catching instructor from 2011 to 2019.  He was also a hitting coach for the Green Bay Booyah of the Northwoods League in the summers of 2019 and 2021.
 
He played collegiately at Georgia College, where he was a member of two conference championship teams and participated in the 2010 NCAA Division II World Series. He graduated in 2011 with a degree in mathematics.  He earned a master's degree in education from the University of Phoenix in 2013.
