FORT MYERS, Fla.- Three Florida SouthWestern programs have announced their 2021 summer camp dates that should keep local youth in the Southwest Florida area plenty busy beginning this June.
The Bucs Women's Basketball team will host three different camps this summer, starting on June 23-24 with their Individual Skill Builder Camp. This two day camp is for players just learning the game or experienced players striving to improve their fundamental skills and understanding of basketball. Emphasis will be placed on passing, ball handling, shooting, essential team offensive, defensive concepts, and more. Right after that, the Bucs will host their 2021 Team Camp in Suncoast Credit Union Arena June 25-26 where teams will have the opportunity to compete against some of the best high school and travel teams in the state. Campers that would like to participate in the Team Camp, but may not have team to compete with, can register as an unattached camper and will be paired with like players to make up a 'camp team' to compete together. Finally will be their Elite College Prep Camp on July 1-3 which will take campers through the rigors of three days of college like practice. The Bucs Men's Basketball team will host four different camps, beginning this Saturday (May 22) when they hold the 2021 Unsigned Seniors Camp for players looking to join the FSW squad for the 2021-2022 season. Next up will be their rendition of team camp, the FSW High School Shootout, on June 18th where local teams are invited to play in the Bucs award winning arena for a day full of heated competition. The Bucs will host their Shooting Clinic on June 28-29 in a camp specifically designed to have you swishing shots from all over the court next season. They wrap up their camp season with their Individual Skills Camp July 26-28 directed by FSW Men's Basketball coaching staff and featuring members of the FSW team, where campers will focus on all aspects of the game including shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense. The FSW Softball team will be holding two different sessions of hitting camps for players of all ages this summer. The first session will be June 22-23 with players 12 and under broken into a morning camp and older campers going afterwards. The same schedule will hold true for the second session of Summer Hitting Camps on July 13-14 at City of Palms Park in Downtown Fort Myers.
