Bucs Sweep FCSAA Week Seven Awards
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers swept the FCSAA week seven Player of the Week awards on Tuesday as Julija Grubisic Cabo was named the Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, Abby Toeniskoetter was named the Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this year, and Camilla Brandalise was named the league's top setter for the fourth time in seven weeks this season.  
 
Grubisic Cabo was rock solid as usual for the Bucs in three victories, averaging 4.11 kills per set while hitting .456 on the outside.  She started her week with a 14 kill, 11 dig double-double in a Bucs sweep of #17 Daytona State.  Wednesday she recorded her second straight double digit kill effort with 10 in a 3-0 win over Polk State. She wrapped up her big week with 13 kills and just one error, while hitting .500 as FSW cruised past #18 Hillsborough 3-0 at home in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.  
 
Toeniskoetter was a blocking machine for the Bucs in limited action last week, averaging 2.3 blocks per set in two contests.  Against #17 Daytona Monday she notched three stuffs in two sets played in a sweep of the Falcons.  Saturday against #18 Hillsborough she tied her career high with 6 blocks in just two sets to help FSW past the Hawks 3-0.  
 
Brandalise earned her fourth Setter of the Week nod, doing it all with 8.6 assists, 1.3 aces, and 1.9 digs in the three FSW wins.  Monday against #17 Daytona she dished out 18 assists in a 3-0 FSW win over the Falcons.  Wednesday she led a potent Bucs attack with 21 assists and 4 aces in just two sets played as FSW raced past Polk State 3-0. She wrapped up the week with her best match, notching 30 assists and dialing up 5 aces to lead the Bucs over #18 Hillsborough at home.  
 
The Bucs were scheduled next  to take on #14 Eastern Florida Wednesday in Melbourne, but the game has been postponed due to Hurricane Milton to Monday, October 14th at 6:00 on the Space Coast.
