Bucs Remain #1 in National Rankings
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- For the second straight week the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers held down the #1 spot in the NJCAA National Poll released on Monday by the National Office.  The Bucs, along with the next six teams in the poll stood pat from last week as the NJCAA Volleyball season approaches it's midway point.

The Bucs played just once last week, defeating Santa Fe 3-0 on the road for their program record ninth straight victory. FSW now sits at 12-2 overall and a perfect 7-0 in Suncoast Conference play. FSW has seven wins over Top 20 ranked opponents this season and four against Top 15 ranked foes including victories over Snow and Miami Dade who are both in the Top 5 of this week's poll.

There was little change to the week five poll with the top seven and nine out of the top ten teams remaining in the same spot from a week ago.  Iowa Western, Blinn, Snow, and Miami Dade followed the Bucs to round out the top five while Missouri State- West Plains leaped up four spots from #12 to #8 as the lone newcomer to the Top 10. Other big risers in the poll included New Mexico Military who went up five spots to #11 and Central Wyoming and Western Nebraska who both jumped four spots to #13 and #14 respectively.

The Bucs will be back in action twice this week, both at home when they host State College of Florida Thursday at 6:00 PM and Santa Fe Saturday at 2:00 PM in Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers.
