CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers checked in at #20 in the final NJCAA Women's Basketball Rankings of the 2022 season released Tuesday by the National Office.  

 

The Bucs split their two games last week, dropping a 63-62 road battle at Indian River before bouncing back for an 80-62 win over Miami Dade to seal up their fifth consecutive Conference Championship. FSW closed the regular season at 21-5 overall and 8-1 in league play.  

 

The top six teams in the poll all held their position this week with Three Rivers, Shelton State, Georgia Highlands, Western Nebraska, Wabash Valley, and Northwest Florida State leading the way. The upcoming FCSAA State Tournament will feature five squads ranked in the Top 25 including #6 Northwest Florida, #14 Chipola, #16 Eastern Florida, #20 FSW, and #23 Gulf Coast St.

 

The Bucs will be back in action at the FCSAA State Tournament next Thursday in Niceville, Florida with matchups for the annual event being released on Thursday.
