Wright Named Finalist For Assistant Coach of the Year Award

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern State Women's Basketball Assistant Coach Rabun Wright has been named one of four finalists for the World Exposure 2020 NJCAA Assistant Coach of the Year. 

In two seasons as the Bucs' assistant, Wright has helped FSW to a 54-11 overall record, two Suncoast Conference Championships, and their first two trips to the NJCAA National Tournament.  Wright, who assists on a number of different levels including scouting, gameplanning, and academics for the Bucs, came to FSW after two seasons at Shorter University.  As a player, Wright suited up for the University of North Alabama for four seasons, contributing both on the floor and off the floor where she established an FCA group for Lion athletes as well as assisting at the National Special Olympic Games in the offseason. 

The other three finalists for the award include Casper's Nate Macy, Northwest Florida's Zack Banks, and Trinity Valley's Precious Ivy. All four coaches' teams are set to be in the NJCAA National Tournament which has been postponed to April 20th in Lubbock, Texas.
