FSW Ranked in Top 25 For 17th Straight Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers moved up one spot in the NJCAA Rankings to #14 on Monday, marking the 17th straight week the Bucs have found themselves in the top 15 of the national rankings.

The Bucs are 15-5 on the year and winners of three straight after a pair of wins last week.  All 15 of FSW's wins have come against NJCAA Division I competition.  The Bucs only five losses of the year have all come to teams ranked inside the country's top 13 at the time of the contests, including four ranked now inside the top five.

FSW has turned up the tempo on offense of late, scoring 194 points in their last two games, both lopsided wins over Hillsborough and Daytona State.  The Bucs defense has been good as well, holding 11 of their last 12 opponents under 75 points.  Both times teams eclipsed the 70 point mark during the stretch, FSW won by 15 or more.

The bulk of the movement in the poll came at the bottom where Redlands and Butler each moved up four spots to #20 and #21.  Trinity Valley rose from #7 into the top five at #4  with a pair of wins last week.  A pair of teams tumbled six spots as Hutchinson fell to #10 and Midland dropped to #18.  Five Florida teams, including the Bucs are in the top 25 this week.  Joining FSW are #1 Gulf Coast, #3 Chipola, #9 Northwest Florida State, and fellow Suncoast Conference member Eastern Florida at #24.

FSW returns to action Wednesday with a home battle against Elite Prep Academy at 5:30.  The contest will serve as a tuneup for the Bucs'  top 25 battle Saturday on the road at Eastern Florida.
