Lackey enters his sixth season with the Bucs in 2023-2024. 

Seven FSW sophomores signed Division I scholarships last season, bringing the total to 30 in Lackey's four seasons as an assistant with the Bucs. 

Lackey was on the bench for the Bucs third straight Suncoast Conference Championship in 2019-2020 as they went a perfect 12-0 in league play to run their conference winning streak to 40 games before departing to the Southern Conference.  They also earned their third straight bid to the NJCAA National Tournament that season.  Lackey helped coach eight All-Conference performers and watched as eight Bucs signed NCAA Division I scholarships off their 2019-2020 squad.  

In his first year at FSW, the Bucs went undefeated in Suncoast Conference play to earn their third straight Conference Championship while earning their second straight bid to the NJCAA National Tournament where they finished 5th.  

Prior to FSW, Lackey spent six seasons (2011-2017) with the Robert Morris men’s basketball staff, serving as the assistant director of operations (2015-2017), video coordinator (2013-2015) and head student manager/video assistant (2011-2013).

Lackey's responsibilities included day-to-day operations, assisting with scheduling and scouting, editing film breakdowns and promotional hype material, recording statistical analysis, overseeing all student managers and directing the 2017 RMU summer camps. 

In 2015, Lackey was part of a program that claimed its league-high eighth Northeast Conference Tournament title and subsequent bid to the NCAA Tournament.

With Lackey as video coordinator (2013-2014) and head manager/video assistant (2012-2013), the Colonials claimed consecutive NEC regular-season championships. Both season the Colonials advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) upsetting No. 1 seeds Kentucky and St. John’s.

In May of 2013, Lackey earned a Bachelor of Science degree from RMU in business administration with a concentration in sport management while also owning journalism as a minor. In May of 2015, Lackey earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Robert Morris.

A native of Fairview, Pa., during the summer of 2012, Lackey served an intern with the Erie Bayhawks of the NBA Development League in Erie, Pa. While with the Bayhawks, Lackey served as a sales, marketing and operations assistant, helping in promotions, assisting in statistics and working trade agreements with local businesses.
