Guitian Signs With South Carolina State
FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern State big man Sebastian Guitian will be headed to the NCAA Division I level next season after signing with South Carolina State on National Signing Day Wednesday.

Guitian played in 18 games for the 29-2 Bucs in his only season in Fort Myers.  He averaged 1.1 points and 1.6 rebounds per game for the Purple and Aqua.  His best output of the year came after the holiday break when he scored seven points in 12 minutes of action against Oakton.  He backed that up by playing a season high 13 minutes in a win over Delta one day later when he pulled down a season high six rebounds for the Bucs.

Guitian helped FSW to their third straight Suncoast Conference Championship this season.  The Bucs finished a perfect 12-0 in league play and were 29-2 overall, earning a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament before the premature stoppage of the season due to COVID-19. FSW spent the final six weeks of the 2019-2020 season as the #1 ranked team in the country.

South Carolina State finished 11-18 this season, going 6-10 in MEAC action.

Guitian is one of seven NCAA Division I signees on the Bucs roster thus far, joining Keon Ellis (Alabama), Jermaine Marshall (Akron), Berrick JeanLouis (Iona), Simeon Kirkland (UAB), Ralph Bissainthe (Central Michigan), and De'Lazarus Keys (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi).
