TAMPA, Fla.- The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Men's Basketball team jumped out to a 15-5 lead and never looked back Wednesday night in Tampa, hammering Hillsborough 93-59 for their 20th straight win on the year.

Playing with a first time starting lineup in game number 28 of the season, the Bucs didn't miss a beat, getting out to a quick 15-5 lead just four minutes in and pushing that advantage to 28-14 midway through the first half on a three pointer from Keon Ellis.  Back to back buckets from De'Lazarus Keys at the 4:30 mark of the half stretched the Bucs lead to 20 for the first time on the night, but a late run by Hillsborough cut the FSW lead to 40-25 at the end of 20 minutes of action.

After a quick bucket for the Hawks to start the second half, the Bucs went on a 10-2 run highlighted by a pair of triples from Hasahnn Reynolds to put FSW in front 50-29. The Bucs hot shooting continued, this time Terry Roberts and Berrick JeanLouis connecting from deep, cushioning their lead to 71-34 at the midway point of the second.  Five straight points moments later from Simeon Kirkland had FSW doubling up the Hawks at 78-39 and they took their largest lead of the night on another JeanLouis three with 4:59 remaining as the Bucs went up 88-42.  A late tip in dunk by Mohamed Sylla put the cherry on top for the Bucs as they went on to win 93-59 for their 20th straight win overall.

No Buc played more than 22 minutes in the workman like effort and 12 of 13 active players scored in the win.  JeanLouis led the way with 16 on 5-9 shooting and 4-6 from distance while Jermaine Marshall wrapped up his fifth straight double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

FSW wins their 20th straight, improving to 27-1 overall and 10-0 in Suncoast Conference play.  Hillsbrough falls to 9-15 overall and 1-8 in league action.

The Bucs will have a chance to relax for a while now, as they are idle Saturday before taking the court again on Wednesday, February 19th when they host State College of Florida at 7:30 in Suncoast Credit Union Arena on Sophomore night at the arena.  Before the Bucs take on the Manatees, their six sophomores will be recognized on the floor for their contributions to the program over the past two seasons.
