FORT MYERS, Fla.- No Berrick JeanLouis, no Jermaine Marshall, no problem for the #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers Sunday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena as freshman Terry Roberts scored a career high 17 to lead five Bucs in double figures in an 89-75 win over Delta to push FSW to 16-1 before the turn of the calendar.

It was all FSW from the get go as the Bucs jumped out to a 10-2 lead and quickly stretched it to 16-5 just six minutes in.  A dunk on the break from Terry Roberts made it a 23-11 game at the midway point of the first half and a triple from De'Lazarus Key late in the period stretched the Bucs advantage to 40-25.  Jaden Campbell was fouled shooting a three late in the half and knocked down all three attempts, giving FSW a 44-25 lead as the teams headed to the locker rooms at the break.

The Bucs continued to pour it on, pressing their lead past 20 on the first possession of the second half as Mohamed Sylla threw down a two handed slam on a dish from Jalen FinchRalph Bissainthe flew to the basket and finished a duece to make it 53-30 and they held that advantage to the midway point of the second when Simeon Kirkland shimmied his shoulders to shake a defender for an easy two in the paint.  Campbell drilled a three from the top of the key to give FSW its first 30 point lead of the game with 6:54 remaining and it continued to be a 30 point Bucs advantage with 5:03 to go.  With the bench emptied, the Bucs struggled some as Delta outscored FSW 19-3 to close the game, but the game had already been decided as the Bucs came away with an 89-75 win to close out the 2019 calendar.

FSW was efficient on the offensive end, shooting 54% from the field on the night while holding the Pioneers to just 41%.  The Bucs also had success from deep where they shot 56% at 9-16 after shooting just 31% coming into the contest.  Five players reached double figures in scoring for the Bucs including Roberts who finished with a career high 17 and Bissainthe who pitched in 14, again on an efficient 5-6 shooting and 3-3 from downtown.

The Bucs win their ninth straight to move to 16-1 on the year while Delta falls to 5-6.

FSW wraps up their non-conference slate with the win and will now turn their attention to Saturday where they will host St. Petersburg to open Suncoast Conference action in Suncoast Arena in a 12 PM tip.
