Bucs' Bissainthe Signs at Central Michigan

FORT MYERS, Fla.- A season ago, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers sent five sophomores to the NCAA Division I level.  Wednesday, on National Signing Day around the country, the first of their 2020 class signed to join that group as guard Ralph Bissainthe inked at Central Michigan University.

Bissainthe is in the midst of what will be his only season in Fort Myers after transferring to FSW following two seasons at the University of Illinois-Chicago.  Bissainthe has helped the Bucs to a 5-0 start to the season, averaging 9.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game thus far.  He has scored in double figures in four of the Bucs five contests including a career high 12 Tuesday night against Miami Dade.

He will join a Central Michigan team looking for their third straight 20 win season in 2019-20.  The Chippewas finished the 2018-19 campaign 23-12, reaching the MAC Semifinals and earning a postseason berth in the CBI.  They are off to a 2-0 start this season.

Bissainthe and the Bucs return to the court on Friday when they make the long trip to Americus, Georgia to take part in the South Georgia Tech Classic.  FSW will take on Triton in the headline matchup of the classic on Friday at 5:30 PM and will wrap up the quick trip to the Peach State with a matinee against Wake Tech Saturday at 1 PM.
