FORT MYERS, FLA.- Nine different players had at least five points and five rebounds Friday night as the #5 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers cruised to 14-1 on the year with a 98-62 victory over the visiting Oakton Owls.

FSW came out ready to go in their second half opener, showing little rust after a nearly two week holiday break.  The Bucs scored the first eight points of the game, including six straight from Tyler Morman on the inside to grab the early lead against the Owls.  After Oakton cut the FSW lead to four, the Bucs stepped on the gas again, going on a 9-0 burst with buckets from four different players to open the lead back up to double digits at 22-9 midway through the half. Mason Daniels hooked up with Simeon Kirkland to make it a 29-12 lead with nine minutes to go in the first and Maddox Daniels scored on a pull up moments later to give the Bucs their first 20 point lead of the game at 32-12.  Oakton had no answer for the Bucs inside out attack as FSW whipped the ball around the floor on their end as they continued to build upon their lead before taking a 57-24 lead into the break at half.

FSW shot 54% in the first half and went 7 of 14 from three point land to finish at a cool 50%.  On the other end they held Oakton to just 24% shooting and eight first half field goals.  Mason Daniels led the Bucs with 10 first half points as 10 different players recorded field goals for FSW.

The Bucs continued to pour on the points as the second half began, taking a 67-28 advantage after a pair of De'Lazarus Keys triples from the wing three minutes in.  An acrobatic finish from Keon Ellis in traffic kept FSW rolling at the midway point of the second and despite a mini run for the Owls late in the contest, the Bucs easily cruised to a 98-62 win to improve to 14-1 on the year.

The final stat sheet couldn't have been much more balanced for the Bucs who had just three players reach double figures in the 98 point effort.  Mason Daniels led the team with 15 while Maddox Daniels and Ellis each had 13.  10 different Bucs scored five or more points while nine of those 10 also had five or more rebounds in the win.

FSW improves to 14-1 on the year with the win while Oakton falls to 6-8.

The Bucs are back in action Saturday in an early evening contest as they take on LSU-Eunice at 5:00 in Suncoast Credit Union Arena to close out 2018.
