FORT PIERCE, FLA.-The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will enjoy the holidays with a 13-1 record as they earned two more wins this weekend over ASA Miami and Indian River State to close the first half of the 2018-19 season.
Thursday, the Bucs got it done on the defensive end of the floor. FSW allowed just 17 first half points to ASA Miami and just 43 in the game as they rolled to a 69-43 victory.
The Bucs got a big effort off their bench from Terence Lewis II who posted his third double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds and Keon Ellis who tied his season high with 13 to lead the way for FSW.
FSW held the Silver Storm to just 33% shooting on the night and forced 22 ASA turnovers in the win.
Friday it was a battle of 12 win teams as the Bucs took on Indian River State. This time FSW got it done on the other side of the court, lighting up the scoreboard for 50 first half points before hanging on late for an 86-83 win over the Pioneers.
FSW shot 43% in the game, but turned it over a season low six times in the win. Lewis put together his second straight big performance off of the Buc bench, going for 19 on 9 of 13 shooting. Maddox Daniels scored 18 while Mason Daniels added 16 for the Bucs off the bench.
The Bucs improve to 13-1 on the year with the victories.
FSW will enjoy a two week break before taking the court again at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on December 28th and 29th when they host Oakton and LSU-Eunice in their final non-conference action of the season.

SUNCOAST CREDIT UNION ARENA
The Buccaneers compete in the brand new Suncoast Credit Union Arena. Suncoast Credit Union Arena is approximately 75,000 square feet and is home to the FSW basketball teams and a student athletic center. The arena seats approximately 3,300 fans and includes six skyboxes, a hospitality event center, competition courts that convert into recreational courts, athletic office space, student, faculty and staff wellness, and an athletic center with a fitness pavilion, men's and women's locker rooms and a weight training area. The arena has two Daktronics displays, on the north and south walls, that each measure 10 feet high by 20 feet wide. Both displays incorporate variable content zoning to each show one large image or they can be divided into multiple windows to show any variety of live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages. One-hundred feet of ribbon displays have been installed on the east and west walls of the arena. The ribbons provide the opportunity to supplement the content on the main displays as well as highlight sponsors throughout events.
