FORT MYERS, FLA.- The #10 FSW Bucs continued their tear to begin the 2018-19 season on Wednesday as they raced past Miami Dade 121-95 to improve to 6-0 on the year.  In the win, the Bucs set school records for points (121), field goals made (51), and field goals attempted (94) against the Sharks.

It was a high paced first half as expected between two teams with opposite starts to the 2018-19 season.  FSW went into the contest with a sparkling 5-0 record while the Sharks entered at 1-4.  The Bucs jumped on Miami Dade early, but couldn't shake the Sharks as they took just an eight point, 54-46 lead into the half.

The Bucs potent offense continued to cause Miami Dade fits in the second half as they lit the scoreboard up for 67 points in the 20 minute period.  With the game well in hand, the Sharks made a push before the final horn but it was far too little too late as FSW rolled to a 121-95 victory.

Maddox Daniels led five Bucs in double figures with 21 points on the night.  The sophomore finished 7 for 8 shooting and 3 for 3 from downtown in the contest.  Freshly inked to head to LSU next season, Charles Manning Jr. put up 18 for the Bucs while DeShawn Thomas and Terence Lewis II each had 17.  Tyler Morman also put up a nice game for FSW off the bench, scoring a career high nine points and hauling in a career best eight rebounds in the win.

The Bucs 121 points breaks the previous school record of 119 which they scored against IMG last season.  It shatters the mark of 105 against an NJCAA opponent, that came nearly two years ago to the date, also against Miami Dade. Their 51 field goals made and 94 field goals attempted are both 10 more than an FSW team has ever recorded against an NJCAA opponent.

FSW improves to 6-0 on the year with the victory while Miami Dade falls to 1-5 on the year.

Next up for FSW is a home battle with ASA Miami on Tuesday in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, the game is set for a 7 PM tip.

The arena seats approximately 3,300 fans and includes six skyboxes, a hospitality event center, competition courts that convert into recreational courts, athletic office space, student, faculty and staff wellness, and an athletic center with a fitness pavilion, men's and women's locker rooms and a weight training area. The arena has two Daktronics displays, on the north and south walls, that each measure 10 feet high by 20 feet wide. Both displays incorporate variable content zoning to each show one large image or they can be divided into multiple windows to show any variety of live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages. One-hundred feet of ribbon displays have been installed on the east and west walls of the arena. The ribbons provide the opportunity to supplement the content on the main displays as well as highlight sponsors throughout events.
