Bucs Wrap Up 2021 Ranked 18th

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- After a fourth place finish at the FCSAA State Tournament, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will close their 2021 season ranked 18th in the NJCAA National Rankings.

The Bucs went 2-2 last week at the FCSAA State Tournament to wrap up their season at 44-16, setting a new program record for wins in a season with 44.  The Bucs went 23-7 in Suncoast Conference play, claiming their second straight Conference Championship under Head Coach Ben Bizier.

With Region Tournaments being played all over the country last week, the NJCAA Baseball Committee put big weight on last week's results, shuffling teams all over the rankings in week 11.  While the top six remained steady with Wabash Valley at #1 and Walters State at #2, followed by Central Arizona at #3, San Jacinto at #4, Iowa Western at #5, and Crowder at #6, the final 14 spots were a crap shoot.  Miami Dade's state title shot them up from #20 to #12 while FSW and Santa Fe were hammered down the rankings from #8 and #11 to #16 and #18.
