FSW A Recruiting Hotbed For Division I Schools Once Again
FORT MYERS, Fla.- While Florida SouthWestern State College recently completed just its fifth year of NJCAA competition, it has already become a hotspot on NCAA Division I coaches' recruiting trail.

This season, the Bucs had over 125 NCAA Division I schools actively recruit their players.  Those schools represented 30 of the 32 NCAA Division I conferences around the country including blue blood leagues like the SEC, Pac-12, Big 12, ACC, Big 10, and Big East.  FSW had coaches from over 25 Power Five schools on campus in 2019-2020 from as far West as Arizona State and as far North as Michigan State, Syracuse, and Rutgers to go along with the schools closer to Fort Myers like Florida State and Miami.

With their choice of homes for their junior and senior seasons post-FSW, 21 Bucs' sophomores have signed at 20 different schools thus far this year.  17 have inked with NCAA Division I schools, three of those at Power Five schools in the Big 10, SEC, and ACC, and four have signed with NCAA Division II or NAIA programs.

It was another banner year for FSW Athletics in 2019-2020 with Volleyball kicking off its inaugural season with a trip to the FCSAA State Tournament, Men's & Women's Basketball both winning Suncoast Conference Championships and earning bids to the NJCAA National Tournament, and Baseball & Softball both getting off to quick starts to their spring seasons before their premature cancellations.
