GENERAL INFORMATION

The NJCAA District VIII Men's and Women's Basketball Championships is held in conjunction with the FCSAA State Basketball Tournament.  It is a single elimination, pre-determined bracket tournament with the men's winner advancing to the NJCAA Men's National Championship in Hutchinson, Kansas and the women's winner advancing to the NJCAA Women's National Championship in Lubbock, Texas.

The FCSAA State Basketball Championships, held on neutral grounds in the gymnasium at the College of Central Florida, will consist of a quarterfinal round of eight teams, a semi-final round of four teams, and conclude with the championship matchups on Saturday.  The men's tournament will welcome the champion and runner-up teams as determined by the Panhandle, Mid-Florida, Suncoast and Southern Conferences.  For the women, the champion and runner-up teams determined by the Southern, Suncoast, Panhandle and Mid-Florida Conferences will be represented.

The tournament hosts are the College of Central Florida Foundation and College of Central Florida.

  • The men's tournament will be held March 7, 9-10, 2018 [Wednesday, Friday, Saturday]

    • SEMIFINALS | MARCH 9 | 1PM | #FSWMBB vs. No. 4 NW Florida State (#1 seed from Panhandle Conference)
  • The women's tournament will be held March 8-10, 2018 [Thursday- Saturday]
    • QUARTERFINALS | MARCH 8 | 1PM | #FSWWBB vs. Santa Fe (#2 seed from Mid-Florida Conference)
    • SEMIFINALS | MARCH 9 | 6PM | #FSWWBB vs. No. 2 Gulf Coast State (#1 seed from Panhandle Conference)


FSW FAN BUS

FSW will charter a bus for each Buccaneer men's and women's game at the tournament. The cost of each trip is just $15 per person and does not include a ticket to the game.

Tickets will be available in session (two games per session) or a full tournament pass. Session tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students, while Tournament Passes are $25 for adults and $15 for students. Kids 3 and under will be admitted free.

Fans wanting to sign up for the bus trip, should call (239) 489-9432. Spots are LIMITED and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis and in order to make each trip happen a minimum of 25 signups is needed.

Fox Sports Radio SWFL will carry FSW men's and women's basketball radio broadcasts for their postseason runs, putting FSW on a major sports radio station in Southwest Florida.

David Moulton, from the popular Miller & Moulton Show (6-9 a.m.; Monday-Friday) on 94.1 Fox Sports, will have the call during the broadcasts.

FSW men's and women's semifinal and final games (should they advance) at the 2018 FCSAA/NJCAA District 8 Basketball Championships will be broadcast on by the outlet.

Fan can listen to each broadcast on the radio on 103.3 FM (Cape Coral /North Fort Myers), 94.1 FM (Fort Myers/Estero) or 105.9 (Naples/Bonita) or online at FoxSportsFM.com.
